[dweeb] Sign To Fierce For New Album 'Feels Like Dynamite'

Dec 09 2009

Four-piece British band [dweeb] will release their new album 'Feels Like Dynamite' on 19th April 2010 following their signing to Fierce! Distribution, recently acquired by Kingsway. Says the band's new label: "Next April (2010) will see the release of the debut album by the band for Fierce! followed by a massive European tour that will run from May through to the end of the summer. Those dates - like the previous tours - will be played before audiences running well into the thousands. And the album? Well, amid all that neon hyperglo and industrial sonic optimism there's going to be something truly great.

Fierce! are proud to welcome singer/guitarist Tim Alford, bassist Matt Donald, drummer Dave Ashworth and the guitarist known only as The Badgerman to the family. Since all the cool kids we know have been into [dweeb] for a while now, we knew it was time to get to know them and see how far this underground action will go.

Anyone who saw them take a leading role in the BBC 3 documentary 'Singing With The Enemy' will know them as a collective of undeniable unity and faith. Even when paired up for a week with a XXX-rated punk band and tasked with writing a song together - and the results filmed and broadcast to the nation - the Coventry-based [dweeb] remained true to themselves and their beliefs."

[dweeb] have grafted the old school way: constant touring has been their way of life since they began in 2003. Now an established favourite of anyone in the UK who knows what an actual dweeb is - as well as festival goers all over Europe - the band have amassed a loyal following. And as their sound has grown from its early punk-feist into something that blends the raw with the melodic, [dweeb] are now ready to throw themselves out there and see what the wider public makes of it all.
