Sofia Silvestri Releases Worship Album 'In Christ I Am'

Apr 13 2020

Sofia Silvestri, a new Christian artist who hopes to encourage others and lead them to God, has released her latest worship album, "In Christ I Am".

Two years in the making, the album has been a dream for Sofia, and covers the need for a strong foundation in one's faith: their identity rooted in Christ.

"This album is about establishing a new identity in Christ by believing the truths of who God says you are and cutting off the lies that the enemy has whispered", she explains. "In the past two years, God has put these songs on my heart while I was going through some "storms" of my own. Praise and worship breaks chains and causes the enemy to flee, so, in the midst of storms and struggles, it's most important to abide in Christ and praise God for who he says we are: cared for."

"I first started recording "In Christ I Am" in the Summer of 2018. At first, I had no intentions of creating an actual album and was just doing it for the amazing experience. The lyrics and compositions of each song have been written over the span of the last 4 years. I know, crazy. Interestingly enough, certain parts of each song were written years apart, only to be put together years later. Overtime, the lyrics of these songs started to mean so much more to me since they encouraged me through a tough time in my own life."
