Singer/Songwriter Lina Frances Debuts With 'Guide Me'
Lina Frances has released her new single and video 'Guide Me'. The singer/songwriter described it as her "first original" song.
"Although most of my music is not Christian music, I wanted the very first original I shared to be one that represents my faith in Jesus Christ (the reason behind it all). God is so good and I pray that everything I do, especially with music, points others to Him in some way. I started my YouTube channel to share my original music, but didn't anticipate the process taking so long. Since I started my channel and recording covers in the Summer of 2017, I've had 2 children which has been life altering in itself. My brother made all of the music to this track and I wrote the lyrics/melody.
My faith is something I have always placed as a top priority in life. I was a cradle Catholic and was involved in church ministries from childhood to young adult hood. In 2014, I attended a retreat called Raider Awakening in Lubbock, TX led by the CSA of Texas Tech University and I can honestly say that it set my heart on fire. I wanted this retreat to be available to people in my hometown. I started a young adult group called Warriors in Faith in my hometown and soon after we started an awakening retreat of our own called Warrior Awakening. I spent a few years passionately leading this group and retreat; it was amazing. In summary, my faith leads me, even in my songwriting. I am so grateful for all the blessings God has given me and my family.
I started writing music in 2012, but just decided this year to actually share it. I have written both pop and Christian songs."
