J.Walker of TLD Releases 'Young Boy'

Aug 04 2021

J.Walker of TLD has released his new single 'Young Boy'. The project was produced entirely by J.Walker of TLD and mixed by Corey Stocker who has worked with Sean Paul, Keisha Cole and Snoop Dogg.

'Young Boy' has J.Walker talking directly to those who will take a life or lose their lives this summer. The song has the rapper speaking to a young boy which could be on any urban corner. The conversation is about what the boy’s dreams are for the future and who are the people he idolizes. The conversation then moves to the relationship with God.

Coming from a background where violence and loss of life are routine it has been important to J.Walker of TLD throughout his career to not neglect the people that are living this reality.

Often the gap between the church and the street can appear quite large and we often find that the same young people who were once in our church services have drifted away. We may simply think they have stopped attending church but it often goes much deeper than this. Everybody is a slave to something or someone. If that isn’t God then there’s immediately a problem. There is a potential for the young to have a positive impact on the world but they must be reached or returned to Christ before they have a negative impact on the world before wasting or losing their own life.
