Reach Records Announces 116 Latin Album 'Sin Verguenza'

Oct 11 2020

Reach Records, in partnership with No Apologies Music, feature the new single, “Dónde Están”, as the introductory statement from the upcoming 116 Latin album, “Sin Vergüenza” The album is available for pre-order on all digital outlets.

The lead single brings together performances and collaboration of artists including Manny Montes, Tedashii, 116, Cardec Drums, DJ Mykael V, Wxlf, Aklesso, Yavier Luisan, and Ada Betsabé.

DONDE ESTÁN and the whole project were created with the purpose and hope to bring two worlds together, Latino-Urbano and American Hip-Hop. Therefore, this song sets a collaborative and celebratory tone for Americans and Latinos alike, by unifying the Spanish and English languages, and incorporating Latino creators not just in the music, but in the art, videos, and creative process as well.

“Our purpose with the music and this first single is to put Latin music at the forefront, and to show listeners that Spanish Hip-Hop should be included for all to listen”, shares Jacob Cardec, the executive producer of the album. That is why DONDE ESTÁN is the first track on the album and introduces it as a shout out to Christian Latinos who love Hip Hop culture.

Commenting on the collaboration with No Apologies, Reach Co-Founder and President Lecrae said, “I’m a firm believer in authenticity and leveraging power for the sake of God and his people. God has blessed myself and Reach Records with an audience that needs an authentic representation of God in Latin culture. I could not do that but I have the power to leverage for No Apologies to do so. This is truly a picture of the body of Christ at work.”

On the other hand, it is not a secret or mystery that we are living in a season where the reality for so many is unfair, so this single wants to bring hope and pride through the lyrics. Pride that comes from knowing that we are loved by Christ just as we are, and wanting others to join and be part of that. “As Christians, we understand and put our hope, rest, and peace, in Jesus. However, if Jesus is not quite your lane, the longing for hope, rest, and peace are still quite inevitable, yet His invitation is always there”.

Due to COVID, the artists and members of the team were not able to get together and shoot an official music video, so they decided to release the song with a lyric video, designed, created, and animated by the Costa Rican creative, Llarod Montero.
