Emily Cupelli Announces New Single 'Look At The Birds'
Emily Cupelli is an accomplished singer and songwriter whose works bridge contemporary Christian music with Americana soul and pop. Her latest single, 'Look at the Birds,' was written in the wake of losing her close friend and pastor to suicide. The song is a profound reminder that if God takes care of the birds, how much more will He care for us (Matthew 6:26).
Emily’s songs have been recorded by some of the most respected names in music, including a powerful duet by the legendary Dolly Parton and Janelle Arthur, titled “Hand Me Downs,” featured on Emily’s 2015 album Light Shine In (released under her maiden name, Emily Lynch). This album also features the iconic voices of Vince Gill and The McCrary Sisters.
She has collaborated with many of Nashville’s top writers, including Shane McAnally, Brandy Clark, Nicolle Galyon, Emily Shackelton, Kelly Archer, Ryan Hurd, Hailey Whitters, Rob Crosby, Mags Duval, Gary Nichols, Clint Ingersoll, Pat Terry and April Cushman.
Emily is currently working on new music with her long- time producer, Dan Hannon (Aaron Shust, Manchester Orchestra), at Ivy Manor Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL.
Featuring the Gilreath family, the collection of “Look at the Birds” videos are tributes that turn loss into light, reminding us of the hope we have in Jesus, even in the midst of tragedy.
Emily is a wife and mom to three boys based in Greenville, SC. After eight years focused on family and leading worship, the unexpected death of her pastor and friend brought her back to her artistry - not as an escape, but as a lifeline.
