Wolves At The Gate Premier New Song Ahead Of 'Types & Shadows' Album

Oct 26 2016

New Noise Magazine has premiered a new song from Wolves At The Gate. 'War In The Time Of Peace' is taken from the forthcoming album 'Types & Shadows' to drop on 4th November via Solid State Records (Fit For A King, Silent Planet). The track showcases the band's ability to utilize both scream and sonnet.

Also a centerpiece of the band is while their songs are memorable and inspiring across punk, hardcore, metal and mainstream listeners, their lyrics find their origin in a sincere faith in God's willingness to show mercy to mankind despite their sin.

This is clear as Cobucci explains the lyrical through-line of this concept album "all the songs on the record are written in story form: some of it's in first person narrative, some of it third, and some of it's written allegorically. They're all shadows of real stories," explains Cobucci, "stories that represent sin, the greatest need of mankind, and the continued revelation that God is gracious despite how broken I am."

Wolves At The Gates previous full-length VXV (2014) did much to spread their music and message. The album debuted on the Billboard Top 200 and won praise from such media outlets including Alternative Press and Substream Magazine.

More recently the band released the Reprise EP which featured the band re-imagining some of their fan-favorite work in an entirely acoustic setting while featuring a guest vocalist on each track.

Wolves At The Gate is rounded out by Nicky Detty (vocals), Ben Summers (bass) and Abishai Collingsworth (drums). The group has toured incessantly since their Initial formation in 2008 appearing alongside artists such as Being As An Ocean, Fit For A King, August Burns Red, I The Mighty, A Skylit Drive, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Oh Sleeper. New show dates will be announced in the coming months.
