Louder Than The Music

Composer and singer Mariette Davina has just released her latest single 'Over' to critical acclaim. Mariette has already enjoyed success with her self-titled debut album in 2011, with her music being played on BBC Radio 2 and selling thousands of songs all over the world.

Hailed as the 'New Kate Bush', Mariette was born in the UK but moved to South Africa at an early age. She obtained her Music Degree specialising in Performance Opera at the University of South Africa and was awarded two bursaries to do her Honours Degree in Music at the University of Pretoria.

Mariette continued to compose music and landed a record deal. Her album of mostly her own original music was released by a South African record label, and nominated for Best Classical album in South Africa. Mariette then moved back to the UK, and decided to pursue her music in Europe.

New single 'Over' was produced by Neil Costello, from the iconic ICC studios in Eastbourne, and features renowned keyboard player Mark Edwards. A music video accompanying the song has also just been released (see below).
