thebandwithnoname's Chip K To Release Debut Solo EP 'K is for Kendall'
Chip Kendall, also known as chipK, singer and rapper from the British group thebandwithnoname, will launch his debut solo EP at the band's final gig at The Plaza in Stockport on 4th September. The five song EP, titled 'K is for Kendall', will be on sale at the show for £5 and was produced by Roo Walker.
thebandwithnoname announced last year that they were to end in 2010 after more than 9 years touring together. Talking exclusively to LouderThanTheMusic about his plans for after the band finishes, Chip said: "The future is very bright for chipK! My solo EP is released the same night as our final gig [4th September] and I'm already in talks with the wonderful people at Cross Rhythms and Isrelate.com about doing some work with them." The EP includes songs such as 'Call My Name', 'Dance Like There's No Tomorrow' and 'You And I'. Said Chip, "The guy mastering my solo EP is the same guy who mastered Led Zeppelin, ABBA, KT Tunstall, Jools Holland... the list is endless. His name is Jon Astley and he's a legend!".
