Feb 24 2010

Four piece rock band Starfield from Canada have now released their new album 'The Saving One'. To launch the album the band will be taking part in a live webcast on their facebook page today, 24th February, at 6pm PST / 8pm CST. Streamed live from Vancouver, the band will play and talk about the songs on their latest release as well as answer questions from fans.

The album is described as "a unique mix of songs delivering tracks that will be heard across radio airwaves as well as being sung in Sunday morning services but most importantly all will bring the listener closer to Christ. With tracks like 'Rediscover You' Starfield blends a catchy melody with honest and vulnerable lyrics that is sure to be heard on your local radio station while tracks, like the title track, 'The Saving One' provides the spiritual depth of a modern hymn. The Saving One is an album that will find its way on a lot of 'best of' lists for the year with its pure and honest relevance to our Faith both in our personal lives and in our Church communities."

'The Saving One' is the follow up to Starfield's 2008 release, 'I Will Go'. The album's first single 'Rediscover You' is currently available as a free download at iTickets.com. The band worked with producer Ian Eskelin (All Star United) on the album which was recorded in nine straight days and features co-writes with Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin, Third Day), Ben Glover and Hillsong's Mia Fieldes.
