Worship Central, based out of London, England's Holy Trinity Brompton Church (HTB), releases their third worship album and second live recording, 'Let It Be Known' this month. Tim Hughes, who heads up Worship Central, has written many songs including 'Here I Am To Worship', 'Beautiful One' and 'Happy Day', as well as two books. Likewise Al Gordon who helps lead Worship Central, is writer of songs including 'Because of Your Love', and 'Glory In The Highest'.
Ben Cantelon joined the Worship Central Team from Soul Survivor Watford and has written many songs, including 'Saviour of the World' and 'Love Came Down'. Ben has led worship at the Soul Survivor summer festivals and his latest album 'Everything In Colour' was released last year.
Worship Central's debut album 'Lifting High' was released in 2009. The follow up album, and first live recording from Worship Central, was titled 'Spirit Break Out'. The album made a massive impact upon its UK released in September 2011, becoming the tenth most downloaded album overall in the UK during its first week.
The latest album was produced by Ben Cantelon and written by the team at HTB, along with its extended family that includes Martin Smith, Matt Redman and others, 'Let It Be Known' highlights the passionate worship of HTB.
"We decided to collaborate much more with our songwriting, spending more time writing together", explains Tim Hughes. "These songs are the fruit of that passion."
As Worship Central reaches out to its own growing community in the UK, 'Let It Be Known' was also recorded during a period of significant international growth. Part of that growth has been fueled by the online worship course that Worship Central has made available free of charge since last year.
"We're trying to invest in relationships, to empower and release others to run with it and make it their own; to use the material as well as their own ideas to resource leaders in their own countries," says Hughes of the Worship Central course.
With 1,255 courses running in over 60 nations, more than 18,000 worshippers around the world have already participated. Through the Worship Central Course, there are now hubs in Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Singapore, Malaysia and South Africa - each devoted to empowering, equipping and releasing others to strengthen their own church's worship life.
Speaking exclusively to Louder Than The Music in a forthcoming interview about the album, Tim Hughes said "We love recording live albums. There's something raw and alive about singing these songs with thousands of people joining together. We may do a studio album at some point, but for now we're excited about capturing live worship. We feel we're only just getting going!"
Recently completing a well-received, first-ever tour of South Africa, Worship Central will also bring the music and message of 'Let It Be Known' to an eight-city tour of the UK this spring.
