Royal Ruckus Return With 'Unexpected Joy' EP

Sep 20 2019

Rap duo Royal Ruckus, who describe themselves as unconventional hip-hop, have released their new EP 'Unexpected Joy', which includes the single 'I'm Yours Forever' featuring KJ-52 and Knowdaverbs.

The EP also features DJ Sean P, Krum, ThatKidCourageous, amongst others. Royal Ruckus started in Bakersfield, California in 1998. Later the group membership changed but two guys were always there: Mike Walker and Jamey Bennett.

In 2000 they teamed up with Pigeon John and made 'Pocket Lint & Spare Change', something they described as "a fancy little demo record". What followed was a bunch of indie records and one label record entitled 'SELF-TITLED' (2002). In 2008, they rereleased 'Pocket Lint' with a handful of other unreleased songs and a few previously released songs that were no longer available anywhere.

In March 2011, they released 'Rumors of Our Demise Have Been Greatly Exaggerated', a self-produced album comprised of never-before heard material.
