Influencers' Latest Born Out Of Experiences In Haiti And U.S.

Feb 26 2019

With origins in Haiti and domestically, Influencers' newest '† (just the cross)' has been released. While helping with the feeding efforts of Convoy of Hope in Haiti, the song was born post seeing a literal cross on the Haitian hilltop. The diversity-filled, Aussie worship group finished the track while on retreat in their adopted home of Georgia. The track was two years in the making with the sovereignty and simplicity of the cross being at the core of the song. “† (just the cross)” precedes Easter and an expected full length album due out later this spring.

Speaking to its resonance, the song has spurred “† (just the cross)” sessions around their adopted hometown of Atlanta where the group bring worship into casual settings like coffee shops. The robust tune has also become a favorite amongst their homebase -Influencers Church which resides in both Atlanta (multiple locations) and Australia.

“Sometimes we try and add extra to the Gospel and extra to this and that, but really the raw true real message of the gospel is simple - that God so loved the world that He sent His son to die on a cross for you and I that whoever believe in him shall not perish without eternal life - that what this song is about,” shares frontman Mark Evans. “It’s the core of the victory message - just the cross, it’s enough.”
