Christian Country Duo Cori & Kelly Release 'Take Me Back To Church'

May 25 2018

Unique Christian Country duo Cori & Kelly have recently released their newest single, 'Take Me Back To Church'. "We have built quite a following here in the Panhandle and southern states, we're looking to expand our ministry", explains Kelly. "Our music is produced by Brent Rader (who produces for Joe Nichols) and we feature fiddle player, Tim Crouch who has played for country legends such as Ricky Skaggs, Alan Jackson, Dolly Parton, Alison Kraus and more. Because of our harmonies, we've been told it reminds people of Hillary Scott or Mainstream Country's Maddie & Tae."

Cori Wood and Kelly Efstathiou, met in 2010 at Forest Park United Methodist Church's praise band in Panama City, FL, and a close friendship quickly began. Through the years they felt that God was calling them to use their talents for something bigger. In 2014 they decided to answer that call by leading worship at a women’s retreat in Clayton, Georgia. Soon afterwards, they began traveling all over the state of Georgia, Alabama and the panhandle of Florida, singing and spreading positive & uplifting messages through their music.

Cori is the preschool director at Forest Park United Methodist Church in Panama City, Fl. Kelly teaches Marketing & TV Production at Bay High School, also in Panama City, Fl. Both ladies began singing at the age of 5 years old and have enjoyed writing and arranging their own original songs. What makes Cori and Kelly unique, is that they often share harmony and lead vocal responsibilities on various tracks due to the versatility of their voices. Their sound is comparable to Lady Antebellum and Hillary Scott & the Scott Family. As a duo, they are excited to see where their partnership and lifelong love of music takes them.
