Logan Hill Working On Orchestral Folk Worship Album 'A Sea Divided'

Oct 07 2017

Texas based folk musician Logan Hill has launched a Kickstarter campaign for his first studio album 'A Sea Divided'. Anyone who pre-orders the album will get an instant download of the new single, 'Let the King Come In'.

The album is marked by a unique blend of musical styles - the raw emotion of folk, the sweeping string arrangements of orchestral, and the reverence of gospel worship. Logan Hill is a folk musician, teacher, and songwriter from Wimberley, Texas. In college he developed a passion for writing music that is both raw, personal and hope-infused. He writes with an honesty that has become an open reflection of the spiritual journey he began in 2007, the same year he wrote his first song. His desire is to write music that points people to the unconditional love of God - the love that radically transformed his own life.

"For these songs specifically, I want to convey the faithfulness of God to my listeners in a way that is emotionally charged and relatable, regardless of personal background or beliefs", explains Logan. "Since 2010, I have desired to release a full-length, studio album that embodies my spiritual journey over the years. The dream has been stirring in my heart over years of transition and now the time has finally come to pursue it!"

Logan is currently working toward his teaching credential in Secondary English through Simpson University in Redding, California. He has been teaching guitar and tutoring in multiple subjects for over five years. He also serves the local church in various outreach and worship capacities. Ultimately, his heart is to teach literature and music, produce music for the church and film, tour the world and equip the next generation of creatives to thrive in both excellence and integrity.

"My desire has always been to create music that I've been longing to hear. The reason is simple - I want to touch people's hearts with music that is creative, organic, and infused with a hope that points to the Biblical narrative. This album will feature 10 tracks that I hope will convey the faithfulness of God to my listeners in a way that is both emotionally charged and relatable, regardless of personal background or beliefs."
