Former Bosh Guitarist Joins With Wife To Form ALPS For 'Ashes' Single

Feb 22 2017

Husband and wife duo, Matt and Bethany Gainsford are ALPS, an electro-indie band hailing from both sides of the Atlantic. ALPS songs, identifiably honest and engaging, are wrapped in immersive, expansive guitars and cascading piano hooks that provide a landscape for arresting and emotive vocals.

ALPS journey as both artists and people has been fraught with challenge, victory, doubt and endurance. Matt was the former guitarist with Indie Rockers, Bosh and had relocated to the States in 2009 to attend a School of Worship program where he met Bethany.

In 2010 Bethany was involved in a head on collision that nearly took her life and nearly ended any involvement in music. Matt and Bethany were married in 2011. Fast forward to six years later and ALPS are working on their debut album Under the Shadow, due for release in the spring of 2017.

Ashes is the first single from the upcoming release, Under the Shadow, produced by Joel Khouri (Nathan Jess/John Mark McMillan) and mixed by Jeremy Griffiths (Paper Lights/Johnny Swim).
