Eric Kneifel Releasing Debut Worship Album 'No Shadows'
Eric Kneifel, a worship leader and songwriter in Portland, OR, is releasing his debut worship album 'No Shadows' on 21st October.
The album began with over 50 songs that were narrowed down to a final 12 to be recorded on the album.
The theme of the album reflects Eric’s desire to see the church become filled the light of Christ to the point where it fills every void, leaving no room for fear, sin, or shame. As stated in the title track, “there’s a light that will leave no shadows.†The song selection includes congregational worship songs, as well as songs of personal reflection and submission.
In April, Eric launched a 30-day Kickstarter campaign, which successfully raised over $4,000 (plus about $1k of outside funding) to bring the album to life. Eric began the recording process in May with producer and friend, Mark Stuckey, and 14 people contributed musically to the album.
Eric has led worship for close to 20 years at several churches along the west coast and in Colorado. Eric's mission is to encourage and inspire God's people to worship Him in spirit and truth, both through music and by living daily for His glory. This is Eric's first album release; the songs were birthed from times of worship and reflection.
Eric grew up in Seattle, where he learned to play guitar and began writing songs for the church while he was in high school. Ever since, Eric has led worship at multiple venues and events, and has coordinated and led multiple worship team training summits. He has a deep passion for encouraging the Lord's people to lift up His name in worship.
