Louder Than The Music

Newsboys return with their new album 'Restart' on 10th September 2013, the third studio album since former DC Talk member Michael Tait took over as lead singer. The eleven-song album includes first radio single 'Live With Abandon'.

A Deluxe Edition of the album will also be available, featuring five bonus tracks, including a cover of the classic Mike & The Mechanics pop ballad 'The Living Years' which topped charts around the world in the late 1980s. Special guest vocalist Kevin Max, Tait's former band-mate, joins Newsboys on two of the bonus tracks, 'The Living Years' and 'Man On Fire'.

'Restart' follows recent Newsboys albums 'Born Again' (2010) and 'God's Not Dead' (2011) which have collectively sold over 650,000 copies with five No.1 singles on the radio charts.

"At the start of this record two years ago, we knew we'd be taking great risks, but people will be excited about this album because we've pushed the music and taken it further than we've ever taken it before," says front man Michael Tait. "I have not felt this way about anything I've been involved in musically since Jesus Freak."

The album's title track 'Restart' speaks to the group's ambitious reach for stars, and the humble heart that comes with a second chance. "Oh Lord I'm a different man/You gave me a second chance/ I was lost, I was falling apart/You came along, You hit the restart."

The single 'Live With Abandon' proves equally poignant, even as it gallops home with percussive keys and drums that stomp their way up the mountaintop: "I wanna live with abandon/ Give You all that I am/ Every part of my heart Jesus/ I place in Your hands."

Fans of the Newsboys can look forward to their dynamic live performance as the band gears up for another extensive touring schedule latest this year with the launch of their 'Restart Tour' in September, with special guests For King & Country and Rapture Ruckus.
