In an interview with LouderThanTheMusic, Noel explains the inspiration behind his new album. "Like many people, I have experienced the twists and turns, ups and downs that life brings, but in looking at how worship and the presence of God have impacted me during those times I found that the firm foundation was my devotion to God, and His devotion to me. So the album really reflects that one constant when everything else was changing."

As one of the most influential Christian musician of his generation, Noel has appeared on the BBC's 'Songs of Praise' and 'Music Live' as well as on BBC Radio 2's 'Gospel Train', amongst other Radio and TV programmes. He has been nominated for 3 MOBO Awards and is the winner of many Christian Music Awards over many years.

Noel was born in the cosmopolitan and stylish 1960's and grew up with his West Indian parents in North West London. Noel has been involved in music from an early age and was taught by his father to play guitar aged six. Later in life, Noel was put forward for classical and jazz studies at Goldsmith College in London where he majored in playing Double Bass and attained grades from the Royal College of Music for Classical and Jazz Guitar, and Piano.

As a solo artist, Noel has now brought all of these diverse sonic experiences into a well crafted collage of sounds entitled 'Devoted', charting his personal journey in a diverse mix of genres ranging from soul to gospel, drum & bass meets reggae to african, and rock to pop.

Noel continues to use his musical abilities alongside various charitable agencies, including those in his local community, working with young people developing leadership and communication skills through the use of music. Noel is also an ambassador for international agency 'Compassion', and has visited various nations around the world, empowering and campaigning to change the lives of many young people.
