Chris Tomlin's New Album To Be Titled 'Burning Lights'

Jul 16 2012

The title of the new album from Grammy Award winning worship leader and songwriter Chris Tomlin has now been revealed. The new album will be called 'Burning Lights' and will be released on 12th November 2012.

The album title comes from the lyrics of his new song of the same name. "I'm no hero of the faith/ Not as strong as I once thought I was/ I'm just a shepherd boy/ Singing to a choir of burning lights."

'Burning Lights' will be the follow up to Chris' 2010 studio album, 'And If Our God Is for Us...' which won him his first ever Grammy Award in the category of Best Contemporary Christian Music Album.

Chris started recording the album back in April, working with award winning producer and songwriter Jason Ingram. He revealed on Twitter that he was recording many different instruments for the album, saying: "Recording dulcimer, dobro and bouzouki, lap steel, banjo among other things today."

Supporting his previous studio album, Chris will continue his And If Our God Is For Us...Tour in the US this October, accompanied by All Sons & Daughters.
