Worship Leader Lara Martin To Release New Album 'Pearl'
Singer/songwriter Lara Martin will release her new album 'Pearl' on 2nd April 2012. The former Worship Leader at Bradford's Abundant Life Church is best known for writing the popular worship anthem 'The Voice of Hope'. Lara will launch her latest album at Elim Church in Northampton with special guest Chris Eaton on 24th March.
Describing the new ten-track album as being semi-biographical, Lara says "In life we all go through seasons of joy, sadness, advance, delay, disappointment, elation and so on. Just like a 'pearl' which is created through irritation and years of process, these songs have been born in the same way.
These songs take a semi-biographical look at my life and sing of valuable lessons I've learned during times of transition and the highs and lows of life. The greatest lesson of all being, that worshipping your way through every season and engaging in true intimacy with God is a key to inner tranquility. When you are at peace with God, you are at peace with yourself and the world around you."
Lara's songs have been covered by the likes of Sonic Flood, Michelle Tumes, Christine Dente and Susan Ashton. Last year she released her double-CD best-of album, 'The Voice of Hope', and also recently appeared on the 'Rain' live album from Kingdom Worship Movement alongside Noel Robinson, Graham Kendrick and Ben Cantelon.
