Martin Smith Launches Debut Solo EP 'God's Great Dance Floor' On Friday With First Gig

Feb 29 2012

Former Delirious? lead singer Martin Smith launches his solo career this Friday, 2nd March 2012, with the release of his debut solo EP, titled 'God's Great Dance Floor', and his first solo concert at St Peter's Church in Brighton, England, the same day. The four-track EP, subtitled 'Movement One', will be available to download from Friday exclusively through MartinSmith.tv for just £5.00. Tickets for Martin's concert are also available from his website.

"I guess this is the start of a new journey again! Going 'public' with your music is always a scary business. One you never get used to, but very exciting all the same" says Martin. "Hours spent in the studio and then suddenly everyone can hear what you've been up to for 3 years!"

Described in the Louder Than The Music review as having "all the components of classic Delirious - strong drums, top class guitars, worship focused lyrics, and a passionate singer who can make a song either soar or stoop", 'God's Great Dance Floor' is the first EP of a set of 4 that Martin plans to release over the next year. The singer recently visited Bogota in Colombia to shoot several music videos for his new songs, including opening track 'Back To The Start' which features the lyrics "I feel alive, I come alive, I am alive on God's Great Dance Floor".

Martin will also be performing his songs at this year's Big Church Day Out event in West Sussex on 3rd June.

'God's Great Dance Floor' Track Listing:
1. Back To The Start
2. Soldiers
3. Waiting Here For You
