Empire Nation To Release New Album 'Closer' Plus Single & Video

Jan 13 2012

British band Empire Nation will release their second studio album, 'Closer', in Spring 2012 as the follow-up to their 2010 debut release 'Airtight'. The new album will feature a collaboration with singer/songwriter Philippa Hanna and is being produced by Andy Baker of Resound Media.

The band have filmed a music video for the album's first single, 'Fire Fall Down', directed by Carl Shanahan; an award-winning director with credits that include working with Warner Bros. and Universal.

"We're getting really excited about releasing 'Closer'" said the band's frontman Ed Bird. "We've been working with some great co-writers and producers. Fans will have heard tasters on our tour last year so we're looking forward to finishing it for them. This album is all about getting real with life and closer with God. We had a lot of fun filming the video for 'Fire Fall Down'. I won't give away too much now, but let's just say the video involved skateboarders, all kinds of dancers, and lots of sparks!"

Empire Nation are currently taking bookings for an album tour planned for April to June 2012. To find out more visit www.empirenation.net.
