Grammy-Award Winning Worship Leader Matt Redman Announces New Album and Releases a New Song

Aug 15 2025

Internationally renowned worship leader and songwriter Matt Redman will release his new album, Life & Breath, on October 3rd (Integrity Music). In his storied career with 20 albums, this will be his first 'live-studio' album as he highlights the heart of live worship in an intimate studio setting. Listen to the first song, "Let Me See Jesus / Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus," released from Life & Breath, featuring worship leader Charity Gayle ("I Speak Jesus").

"I’ve genuinely enjoyed leading this song; I can feel the people in the room connecting with the heartfelt message of the lyrics each time we lead it," shares Matt Redman. "It serves as a sincere prayer to see and encounter more of Christ. Having Charity Gayle as a guest on this song is particularly special for me. I have admired her songs from a distance, but over the past year, I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know both Charity and her husband, Ryan. I sincerely appreciate their passion for Jesus and have great respect for how they carry the responsibility entrusted to them in the world of worship music."

Life & Breath represents a return to the sacred essence of worship, emphasizing the importance of honoring God with every breath we take. Rather than relying on emotional expression or cultural trends, the album's songs focus on the core foundations of faith, creeds, prayer, repentance, and reverence. It combines a sense of reverence with joy, merging theological depth with accessibility. These new songs showcase timeless expressions of faith, including a track based on the Nicene Creed, which celebrates its 1,700th anniversary. Featured artists on the album include Charity Gayle, Joe L Barnes, CalledOut Music, and Quintin Trotter.

Redman adds, "This is my first experience with a 'live studio' project. Usually, recordings are either done live in front of an audience or in a more controlled studio environment. For this album, I aimed to find a balance between the two, creating a fully studio-based recording while still capturing the heartfelt energy that we experience in a congregation. We recorded this in Nashville and invited the Lipscomb University Gospel Choir to join us in worship, which created a truly special moment."

Throughout his career, Redman has become a respected voice in the worship genre and the church itself. He has devoted his recent years to sharing what he's learned and seen around the world, teaching healthy worship and theology in songs and services in the form of a conversation on the WOR/TH Podcast, as well as the WOR/TH events - one-day worship and theology seminar for songwriters, worship leaders, and musicians. This fall, there will be three WOR/TH events in Nashville, Toronto, ON, and Langley, BC.
