Singer-Songwriter Gabrielle Lovelace Inks Deal With Old Bear Records
Promising young singer-songwriter Gabrielle Lovelace of East Tennessee has inked a deal with New York-based Americana/Folk/Alternative label, Old Bear Records. The release of her first single gives listeners a glimpse of her heartfelt lyricism and distinctive vocal style.
Coming out of the gate with “Somewhere Between,” a song that speaks to the season of life which finds her emerging from a long bout with Lyme disease, finishing college and launching head-on into her music career, Lovelace shares, “For the longest time, I’ve felt like I’m stuck in the blank page between two chapters. I can feel it turning, I can feel the progression of the story; but until now there has been nothing clear about it. This song is my way of saying I have felt stuck in the middle of these two seasons - between childhood and adulthood.” She continues, “We all have seasons of waiting, of uncertainty, but in those challenging times we often have the most growth. They prepare us for the next chapter.”
Old Bear Records co-founder, Anthony Hoisington, expressed his enthusiasm about signing the up-and-comer to his stellar roster of artists, “Gabrielle’s voice carries a rare kind of authenticity - unfiltered, soulful, and right in step with the creative heartbeat of Old Bear Records. We are excited to partner with her and the music she creates.”
Growing up in a musical family, her father a musician and her mother also in the music business, Lovelace was immersed in and has a love for a variety of genres. An ardent student of lyric and rhyme from an early age, her love of words set her on a path to earning degrees in both English and creative writing. Continuously honing her craft as a tunesmith, it’s in the singer-songwriter category where she hopes to make her mark.
Distributed exclusively by Syntax Creative, Lovelace’s Old Bear Records offering is available on digital platforms worldwide.
