Gather Worship Releases Second Single In The Run Up To Global Unprecedented Event, Gather25

Feb 08 2025

Gather Worship - a collective of artists carrying the sound of global Church event, Gather25 - releases their second single. Titled “The Image,” the new song teases more of their forthcoming album, “Hear The World That You So Love Sing Back To You,” which comes out on February 21, 2025.

Spearheaded by executive producers Matt Redman and Jason Ingram, Gather Worship set out to write songs that capture the purpose of Gather25, namely to gather the Church worldwide through an unprecedented 25-hour global broadcast to pray, repent, worship, and discover how the love of Jesus is transforming the world through everyday people.

Penned during a songwriting camp, “The Image” flowed out of a desire to write something purely about Jesus, hoping to give worshipers a key anthem on the Gather25 journey and beyond.

“One thing I love about this song is it touches on the years between the cradle and the cross,” explained Redman. “We will sometimes sing of the birth and the death of Jesus, but not much else in-between. It’s so important to sing about those years because even before the cross, as He lived among us, Jesus put the heart of God fully on display.”

In keeping with Gather Worship’s mission to represent a glimpse of the global Church - every tribe and every tongue worshipping together - the new single is released in three languages.

The English version is in collaboration with Matt Redman and Nigerian worship leader, Kaestrings, while the Spanish one (“La Imagen”) is with Josh Morales and features Guatemalan group, Miel San Marcos. Taiwanese worship ministry, Stream of Praise, are leading the Mandarin version, and additional group vocals were contributed from New Zealand’s Grace Vineyard Church.

An official music video for “The Image” (English Version) also accompanies the release. It features each artist singing from stunning landscapes in their various locations – Nigeria, New Zealand, and the US.
