Newsboys Release Their New Album 'Born Again'
The latest album from Newboys, 'Born Again', is released in the US today, 13th July, and in the UK next week (19th July). 'Born Again' is the first full length Newsboys album to feature new lead singer Michael Tait (formerly of DC Talk) who took over from Peter Furler in 2009, and is the band's fourteenth studio album overall.
In a nod to Tait's former band, 'Born Again' includes a cover of the DC Talk classic 'Jesus Freak', featuring a rap from Christian artist KJ-52. The album title track has already topped the US radio charts for seven weeks.
Newsboys have already spent the summer appearing at 23 major festivals throughout the US and Canada, having performed in front of tens of thousands of concert-goers at festivals including Spirit West Coast, Sonfest, Icthus, Atlantafest and Lifest 2010. The band's upcoming tour dates will feature their new stage set, which officially made its debut at the Creation East festival. The jaw dropping new stage sees the band members actually being lifted on a mini-stage into the air and above the crowds.
