Ayo Shamir has released 'Let It Go' featuring underground heavyweights Jered Sanders, Datin, and Mickey Factz. The follow up record to the single “Grudges,” Let It Go continues the story of Ayo Shamir dealing with individuals and situations that were not on the up and up.



One false move can ruin your life. One mistake can change the course. You need to have the self awareness to know if this is going to end well, to know if it is going to impact your purpose. Countless people have found themselves on top and made a poor decision and had it all taken away from them.

“We need to let God work and not always feel like we have to do something. Sometimes we have to let others feel pain so they know that they did us wrong. When you hear Jered speaking about the court system, or Datin speaking about how things are on the internet, I feel like they really embodied how things are today. It’s different than back in the day, but I think that is the message of this record.” - Ayo Shamir.

As we find ourselves in the midst of the storm, we will often try to control the situation only to find out that we don’t have power to determine the outcome. It is in these moments that we have to learn to let go and let God. Of course, a solid gritty boom bap track to set the mood never hurts either.
