Paul Bell Launches Kickstarter To Fund 'Arrows' Worship Project

Jun 29 2023

Singer/songwriter Paul Bell has announced his first worship project, “Arrows”, and launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the release.

Paul says “during the lockdowns, I started writing songs which are a bit different from the biscuit/ buffet/Japanese pottery based songs I’d written before - songs for the church to sing”.

As well as travelling the UK and beyond performing concerts in churches, cafes, folk clubs and festivals, Paul is a seasoned worship leader, heading up the worship team in his local church, and leading worship at other events. This move into worship songwriting comes as a response to prophetic encouragements, as well as a heart for the church to have fresh words and melodies to express their worship, and to encourage them in their walk with Jesus.

“I can honestly say I’m more excited about these songs and this project than any of the music I’ve recorded previously” says Paul.

Paul’s collaborators on the project include Reuben Harsant (drums) and Jonny Bird (mix engineer) - both well known for their work with Martin Smith and others - and Nick Herbert (songwriting input) who has written with Tim Hughes, Martin Smith, Gas Street Music and many others.

To help fund the release, Paul has set up a Kickstarter project to allow backers to get involved in the recording and release of these songs. Rewards include CDs, a devotional to accompany the songs, tickets to a launch event and virtual or in-person events at your church.

Paul adds “My heart is that these songs get to the people and places they need to get to. Like Arrows, I really want each one to hit its target.”

Songs from the project will be released over the coming months.
