Wembley's Oraclez Gospel Festival Rescheduled Due To Volcano
Organisers of the UK's biggest indoor Gospel Festival, the Oraclez World Gospel Festival, have been forced to reschedule the event due to the travel chaos resulting from the recent shut down of European airspace as a result of the Icelandic volcano eruption. This historical event which will remain at the prestigious Wembley Arena will now take place on Bank Holiday Monday 31st May.
Whilst the lineup for the festival will mostly remain as previously announced, one change has been confirmed by the organisers who said, "We are delighted that the magnificent line up will now be enhanced by the presence of Fred Hammond who will be a worthy replacement for Donnie McClurkin, who unfortunately cannot make the new date as a result of a previous commitment. Pure Genius Entertainment is determined to ensure this change does not affect your enjoyment of this amazing show and hope that Donnie’s absence will not be too disappointing. If you’ve already booked, don’t worry your ticket is still valid, so you won’t miss out on the annual World Gospel Festival & Awards Ceremony presented by Pure Genius Entertainment & Premier Christian Radio."
The stellar line up of established and brand new gospel talent put together by organisers to represent the broad spectrum of the scene also includes: Bebe & CeCe Winans, Faith Evans, Trin-I-Tee 5:7, Yolanda Adams, Stitchie, 21:03, Martha Munizzi, Kierra "KiKi" Sheard, George Nooks, J Moss, Canton Jones, Sonnie Badu, Kym Mazelle, IDMC Choir, Beverley Trotman, Rachel Kerr, Genevieve Sylva, Rebecca, Rachel Hylton, Michaela (The Poet).
Michael Koos of Pure Genius Entertainment, organizers of the event, said: "We are confident Donnie will join us in the very near future but, we know Fred will more than make up for his absence. He will, we are sure, be a blessing to us all." Tickets can still be purchased from www.wembleyarena.co.uk.
