David Curtis Releases Musical Reflection On The True Meaning Of Christmas
Singer/songwriter David Curtis releases his latest single 'Christmas Day - The First Day of Forever', a song that is very close to David’s heart, as it reflects for him the true meaning of Christmas - John 3:16. As he has grown in his Christian walk, Christmas has become so much more than Santa, presents and "just party time that happens once a year".
Written and produced by David in collaboration with lyricist Mark Casey, the song features a wonderful piano and keyboard arrangement by Nashville A list session musician Gary Prim.
David Curtis is the youngest hit maker that New Zealand has produced when he recorded ‘Wheel of Fortune’ in October 1970 that reached #5 on the national music charts and earned him a Gold Record. In 1971 he composed ‘Take Your Leave’ which won a nationally televised song writing competition and went to number 3 on the national charts.
David left New Zealand for England where he remained until the mid 90’s performing in various entertainment venues in and around London.
A decision was made to return to New Zealand in 1994 where David, a committed Christian, lives with his family. David has built a home recording studio where he reflects his love of country/folk & gospel music. The 2021 release of his song ‘After All These Years’ spent 5 weeks in the UK country ‘Hotdisc’ top 40 and his last single ‘Living the Waltz’ graced the ‘Hotdisc’ charts for 3 months.
'Christmas Day - The First Day of Forever' will be available on all streaming platforms on December 2nd.
