Newsboys Confirm New Release Date For 'Born Again'

Apr 06 2010

Newsboys have delayed the release of their new album 'Born Again' by a month to 13th July 2010. The release will be the first Newsboys album featuring new lead singer Michael Tait (formerly of DC Talk), who took over from Peter Furler in 2009. The final artwork for the album has also now been confirmed (see right).

Since the band's founding in Australia in 1985, Newsboys have released fourteen studio albums and have been one of the most popular Christian music artists of the past two decades. This month the band have made a brief return trip to Australia to perform three concerts. Over the Easter weekend Newsboys headlined the nation’s largest Christian music festival Easterfest in Toowoomba as well as shows in Melbourne and Sydney at the Hillsong Convention Center.

The video to the new album's title track was filmed just outside Tijuana, Mexico in the Baja penninsula, where the Newsboys plan to embark on one of the biggest home building projects ever to support the poverty stricken people of the Baja.
