Philippa Hanna Teams Up With Nashville Artist Ri-an For 'How Great Thou Art'

UK, Country/Gospel artist Philippa Hanna has joined forces (and silky vocals) with Nashville based artist Ri-an on a dreamy and soulful reworking of Traditional Hymn 'How Great Thou Art'.

This truly unique take on the classic, is utterly refreshing and soothing for the soul. Both artists shine on the down-tempo offering, Single out April 29th 2022. The collaboration is one in a series of stunning hymn covers served up by Ri-an, and produced by award-winning Swedish Producer David Thulin.

Since moving from Arkansas to Nashville, TN in 2011 Rhyan Shirley has become a BMI award-winning songwriter. She has written songs for artists such as Bethel Music, Leeland, We Are Messengers, Colton Dixon, MDSN, Rachael Lampa, Abby Robertson, Gateway Worship, and many others. Since releasing her own music as Ri-An she has received over 3 million streams collectively on her music, and only plans to continue releasing more and more music.

“What I hope to accomplish by releasing hymns is to ignite a new love to these staples of faith. These songs have lead countless people to the feet of Jesus. Some over hundreds of years. Bringing a fresh sound to these classic songs has brought me so much joy, and I hope it does the same for others. PHILIPPA HANNA is an internationally acclaimed performer, recording artist and author. Best known for her faith-based music and storytelling, Philippa has performed over 1500 shows worldwide. 2020 saw the release of Philippa's 6th studio album 'Stained Glass Stories' (Integrity Music). With a unique blend of Gospel, pop and Country influences, Philippa has won fans in the likes of Leona Lewis, Lionel Richie and pop icon Lulu.

As well as annual headline tours, Philippa's career highlights include multiple appearances at the prestigious London Palladium, 02 Arena and a hugely well received performance at The Royal Albert Hall as special guest for Royal wedding singers 'The Kingdom Choir'
