David Huff Releases 'The Cross is the Answer' Ahead of 'Higher Power' Album

Mar 31 2022

Mississippi native David Huff has released 'The Cross is the Answer', the first song release off his new project, 'Higher Power'. "I teamed up with my long-time friend, Tommy Sims with the production of this project", explains David.

"This song was literally "birthed" through the Spirit of God speaking loudly through me (without premeditating what I was saying/singing), "The Cross is the Answer"... these words just came out loudly with the melody! I call this "the Spirit-spoken Walmart song" because I was in the Walmart parking lot where this song was born. Proves that God can and will speak sometimes in the most unlikely places."

With his Mississippi roots, David started at age 11 playing guitar and singing. He and his band, David and the Giants got their start in Muscle Shoals with Rick Hall, signing with Capitol records. “Ten Miles High” and “Super Love” were some of their hits back in the late ’60s and ’70s.
Being witnessed to by his drummer Keith Thibodeaux, (a child actor on the I Love Lucy show and The Andy Griffith show), David started his soul-searching journey. It took 3 years, but God was merciful. David was filled with The Holy Spirit in 1977 and has been singing His song ever since!

“Here’s My Heart”, “My Song of Praise”, “You Saved My Life” are some of the radio hits of David Huff / David and the Giants.

David Huff’s brand-new project 'Higher Power' will be available on May 1, 2022. In some of the songs on this album, you will hear hints of his Mississippi roots and the Muscle Shoals influences. This 10 song project ranges from sobering reflections of the cello to hard-hitting rock guitar and then some in between.
