The Moment Releases New Christmas Song 'Now More Than Ever' Feat. Dave Bell

Dec 22 2021

The Moment have released a new Christmas song and video called 'Now More Than Ever', written by Dave Bell and Chris Eaton. The song is available now on all streaming platforms, and was produced by Matt Cossey who also played keys on the track.

"I had the great honour of writing a Christmas song with the sensational Chris Eaton", explains Dave Bell. "Chris famously wrote that number one Christmas hit for Sir Cliff Richard, 'Saviour's Day' a number of years ago, so I was so excited to have the opportunity to write another Christmas song with him. This time it was in usual circumstances as we wrote the song together on a video call during a national lock down. Secondly, taking on the challenge to write a Christmas song while facing a worldwide pandemic with many people fearful of what the future may bring."

The song is centered around one main theme: "Theologians believe that 400 years of silence is recorded between God and His Children. God’s people begin to question His existence. 'Why is He silent? Has He abandoned us? Does He not love us anymore?' The incredible thing about God is the way He chooses to break the silence. Not by a host of Angel armies. Not with a fanfare, but He breaks 400 years of silence through the cry of a baby boy. Jesus. 2000 years ago. The cry of Jesus closed the distance between God and man…forever!

I pray that as you listen to this simple song you will be encouraged to know God is present. He is a light in this dark world. He is your Saviour."

The Moment exists to partner with the local church across the world to see the body of Christ equipped, the sick healed and the lost saved through their unique blend of dynamic worship, powerful testimony and engaging word. Lead singer Dave Bell is Worship Pastor at Alive Church in Lincoln and is frequently involved in The One Event.
