Ascent Project Releases 'Tell My Fight'
Ascent Project release their new single 'Tell My Fight'. The song is unique in that it is both a fun, energetic, corporate song and it also carries lyrics that are deeply personal to someone’s struggles and seasons of life. "We wanted to write a song that could connect with someone in a battle while elevating them above it by the power and victory of Jesus.
I wrote this song in the midst of the pandemic and also in the middle of some personal times of waiting and questioning. But it wasn’t until just recently that I fully experienced the power in the truths this song proclaims. My wife and I are expecting our second child and one weekend we had a major scare that we lost the baby. It was in this time of prayer and waiting that I realized God had given us a song to sing in this exact moment. We didn’t know the outcome, fear was waging war, but one thing was certain to us: the goodness of the promises and presence of God.
I pray this song gives people in the middle of any situation a solid rock to stand on when everything around is shaking. We may not know the outcome, but we know who He is. We may not understand, but we can stand on His promises. He won’t fail us or leave us and He is working all things for the good of those who love Him. He’s given us a victory song to sing, so we can tell our fight that our God has resurrection power and is mighty to save."
