WhenSheSpeaks Releases 'It Is So'

Jan 25 2021

Following on from her first feature single last October, WhenSheSpeaks has released her new single 'It is So'.

A song with a story that in no uncertain terms, was God-inspired. Feeling the call from God to take a gap year in 2019 (much to her parents’ chagrin), it was only while in the midst of that 12 month season where she saw obedience lead to new connections, from being able to find work whilst back in London.

Whilst on her gap year she had the opportunity to be a part of the 25-piece vocal ensemble that backed Donnie McClurkin’s “Live In London” recording at Gateway House. Her next opportunity to direct her church’s first Christmas production “The Journey” led to making a purpose connection, leading to her getting invaluable insight into theatre production from a director within the industry that she loves & wants to get into post-graduation.

This song is a testimony of going where the Lord follows even though you might not know where he’s taking you, sometimes you just say yes to the call and the path becomes clearer en route.

It is So’ captures her love for 90s R&B and Jazz, coupled with the influences of Sean C. Johnson and Adrianne Archie, her desire is to bring the old feel back & present to a new audience. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for more music later this year, her debut single is just the beginning.
