James is from Missouri, but before moving to the USA from the shores of the UK, James played guitar with TheBandWithNoName. After touring for two years and traveling all over Europe, James was led to an exciting new chapter in his life. He took up the position as Worship Director for a church in Missouri.
Now he has felt it's time to put out his own songs and this is how we get to him releasing six new tracks to the world.
Opening track The Introduction is a brilliant mix of guitars and electronic beats that build and build into a real heavy intense and exciting noise. This introduction track really sets the stall out on this EP.
As you might have guessed, this album is very guitar heavy. James knows how to play the guitar to such a great quality and the tone of his guitar work is wonderful. One moment he is rocking out on the track Running and the next moment his guitar sounds so soulful during the intimate heartfelt title track Waiting Here, you can't help but be drawn into the music.
The intimate sounds continue with the song 'Coming Home'. This seven minute track starts off very slowly, and then out of nowhere comes a fantastic guitar riff bursting into life. Also the guitar solo is something else, have a listen and I'm sure this track will just jump out at you.
Closing song The Rescue is a thumping track, it mixes together a classic rock sound with some great vocals and lyrics to create this great track to finish a wonderful EP with. The way the guitars and drums sound so epic towards the close of the song is worth having a good listen to.
If you are looking for some new sounds then please let me recommend James Adams. This EP has a good mix of rocky tracks and some intimate worshipful songs. I can't wait to see what the next few years hold for this amazing songwriter.
