"Warrior" marks a full-circle moment for the Texas-based worship leader and recording artist. After releasing a string of country singles in the wake of his 2009 American Idol run, Sarver was unable to shake an innate beckoning to write and record music with a greater purpose. Leaving the country spotlight, he spent several years as a church worship leader before fully embracing the call to Christian music.
“I used to chase dreams in country music, but deep down, I knew God was calling me elsewhere,” Sarver admits. “‘Warrior’ isn’t just a song, it’s my testimony, born from the battles of fear, doubt, and spiritual warfare I’ve fought. God made me a warrior, and I’m finally stepping into that truth. If you’ve ever felt under attack or worn down, this song is for you. You’re not alone, and you were built for battle too.”
