Britt Dené's fresh take on "Getaway" highlights her heart for intimate, spirit-led worship. "To me, this song feels like the voice of God speaking," Britt shares. "He is all-knowing--He created me from every ounce of my DNA, so He knows my thoughts, feelings, and actions. And still, He wants a real, authentic relationship. 'Getaway' is that invitation to pause, to step away from distractions and stress, and to spend time with Him, sharing our hearts and learning to trust Him more deeply."
The new acoustic version of "Getaway" offers a more reflective, vulnerable experience, inviting listeners to quiet their surroundings and rest in God's presence. "Stripping the song back to its raw core allowed the message to breathe even deeper," says Britt. "This version brings sharper focus to the heart of the song–reminding us that God meets us exactly where we are."
A native of Sylvester, GA, Britt Dené has been using music to glorify God since her earliest years, earning multiple solo performance awards and serving on worship teams throughout college. Her music has taken her across the country, connecting with audiences and sharing the message of Jesus Christ with boldness and grace. She has performed alongside celebrated artists including Smalltown Poets, Jason Fowler, Mark Lee (Third Day), I AM THEY, Jason Crabb, and Angela Primm.
With comparisons to Charity Gayle, CeCe Winans, and TAYA, Britt's soulful voice and deep-rooted passion for worship continue to inspire. Her EP All I Need showcases her calling and talent as a worship leader and recording artist–and with the release of the "Getaway" acoustic version, Britt Dene is only just beginning.
