Briana Calhoun is an artist with an impressive style and story. Her sound is fresh. Period. She's got a sweet southern drawl, but her tone is rough around the edges. No mess. No nonsense. Tells it like it is. Calhoun lives where there's no lines - between country, rock, blues, and even rap. She says her goal is to "take the labels off" in Music City.
Calhoun’s unique songwriting style and story is beginning to catch the ears of folks beyond Louisiana. She has written and performed with several award-winning songwriters and artists in Nashville and, last spring, recorded a six-song EP at the renowned Sound Kitchen Studios in Franklin, Tn.
Most recently, Calhoun has filmed a documentary depicting her incredible journey with the help of music legend Kix Brooks and former NBC meteorologist and host of the acclaimed “A Drop of Sunshine” podcast, Daphne Deloren Matheny. The documentary is set to be released later this year.
