Discussing how his desire to perform started, the artist, real name Jacob Tarver, said "At the age of 11 I was riding a team bus after a football game for Gulfport Central Middle School in Gulfport, MS. I was seated in the back of the bus because I knew the kids on the bus would be “free-styling.” It interested me but I never participated. One of the kids on the bus targeted me in his free-style and I was looked at by the rest of the guys to reply with a freestyle. I just said the first thing that came to my mind. Even I was astonished by the words I spoke. That moment birthed in me a desire to perform Hip-Hop that I couldn’t shake.
For years I’d rap alone, ashamed of my passion because of my ethnicity. I figured no one would listen to a tall, goofy, white kid. I was wrong. A year later I accepted Christ, Jesus as my Lord and savior. From that point on, it has seemed as though God would implant an urge in me to speak poetically on a beat about Him and His love. Not only that but my personal fight and love for God. He encourages truth in me.
In comic books, there are times when the villain is converted for the sake of aiding the hero in their mission. Their not good but their not evil. They are known as Antivillains. So I adopted the name because the Hero converted me to aid in His mission. I am the Lord’s Anti-Villain."
