Elim Sound have partnered with Helen Yousaf to record her new album 'Custodians Of Fire'.

It’s been seven years since Helen’s last studio album. Her brand new album ‘Custodians Of Fire’ is a compilation of some of the prophetic songs Helen has been singing out over the past two years. Ian Yates and the Elim Sound team partnered with Helen to gel these fragments of prophetic ministry into songs that would encourage the body of Christ and speak a word in season to the atmospheres we find ourselves living in for His glory!

It’s been seven years since Helen’s last studio album. Her brand new album ‘Custodians Of Fire’ is a compilation of some of the prophetic songs Helen has been singing out over the past two years. Ian Yates and the Elim Sound team partnered with Helen to gel these fragments of prophetic ministry into songs that would encourage the body of Christ and speak a word in season to the atmospheres we find ourselves living in for His glory!

The ten brand new songs on ‘Custodians of Fire’ are full of passionate responses to valley experiences declaring ‘You’re with me!’; ‘I pitch my tent in the land of hope!’; ‘what do you want to see?’ and more. Such lines are a heart cry from a mother who knows the sound of one grappling with dark episodes before the light of day beams down on the situation and shows God as generous, strong and faithful.

I found myself just putting this album on and getting lost in the songs. There is such honesty in the words from the moment the album starts. Musically there are some great creative styles, with the album sounding contemporary but also contrasting from one track to another. I Come Alive is a first class song, the vocals on Cushions of Fire are divine and Hope Remains is a warming and truly great song to end the album. All very different tracks but all sounds as good as each other.

Helen has this powerful voice that sings every word with passion. These are not just words put down because they sound nice. The lyrics of the songs are so important, they talk about so much that I'm sure these songs will not only draw the listener in, they will also inspire and encourage like they have me. There are so many different kinds of moments on this album; tender songs, powerful songs, songs that lead to great worship times that touch the heart.
