Focusing with honesty and passion on the difficulty and struggle Christian life can be, and also the love we have for God and others, hence the name Love and War. This album will resonate with every Christian, and take you on a journey from the beginning of the album with Come Alive, which wakes you up and gets you alive to take out the message of God's love to the people, feeling the urgency of this album, it will have you hocked and locked right till the end with a track called Hello Sunshine. A nice light song, finishes the album off well, putting a smile on your face.
This album ignites the flame, and gets the fire burning in your heart, as you hear and feel the passion of the music and lyrics to get us out of our comfort zones and get our faith active to tell everyone about the love God has for them. The message is well and truly in the music, also tackling the issue of abortion head on with Tears Fall, a pro-life song which will leave you with tears falling as you listen to this prayer of forgiveness.
This album has variety in both its music and vocals and is an artistically strong piece of work, though I want to call it art. It is a fantastic release from the trio, and is honest and passionate. Barlowgirl fans will love this, it is the album you will have been waiting for. If you have not heard Barlowgirl before and are a fan of rock/pop then have a listen. This release is bold and is a definitely needed message in our world.
