We don't usually review compilation albums on LTTM for two reasons. Firstly there are so many artists out there with great albums that we don't want to miss reviewing, and secondly there are just so many compilations album releases around with the same songs. But we think this album is worth checking out.
The iWorship series has already sold over 2 million copies and what I like about this latest double-disc album, 'Now/Next 2013' is the fact that disc one is a collection of songs that are sung in most churches on a Sunday morning, and disc two is a collection...

The iWorship series has already sold over 2 million copies and what I like about this latest double-disc album, 'Now/Next 2013' is the fact that disc one is a collection of songs that are sung in most churches on a Sunday morning, and disc two is a collection of songs that might be next Sunday morning's anthems.
Disc One/Now really does have some of the most popular church songs from around the world. Opening with the anthem 'Our God', this time sung by Lincoln Brewster, the song has a catchy chorus that you just have to sing along to, "Our God is greater, Our God is stronger, God you are higher than any other, Our God is healer, awesome in power, Our God, Our God".
The album also has How He Loves by John Mark McMillan, again another massive anthem and brilliant song, and the modern classic and recent Grammy Award winning song 10,000 Reasons by Matt Redman, performed here beautifully by the remarkable Rend Collective Experiment. Then there is Healer and Everlasting God written and sung by Brenton Brown.
But it's on Disc Two/Next where the excitement really starts to build. With tracks like Build Your Kingdom Here from the Rend Collective, Spirit Break Out from Worship Central and Praise The Invisible form the amazing Daniel Bashta. This second half of the compilation has some really exciting tracks that are well worth checking out as future tracks to use in times of worship in church services.
For me having tracks from Planetshakers, All Sons & Daughters, Ben Cantelon and Paul Baloche and many many more on a two disc album can't be a bad thing. This album really does have a few different styles of songs to keep the listener going, and I can't find a better compilation album out at the moment mixing together modern classics with soon-to-be new modern classics.
