Editorial Reviews

Freedom Calling is Jake Hamilton's second full-length album release with Jesus Culture Music. This CD/DVD combo features the no-frills, intense worship from Jake Hamilton with footage of three songs from the live recording at Jesus Culture Atlanta and also a 30-minute `in-depth' feature that takes you behind the scenes of Jake's life, music, and ministry. The sounds and lyrics of this album, as well as the message that Jake carries, will captivate your heart and awaken a deep passion to pursue intimacy with Jesus while living with courage and boldness. Jake Hamilton's new album, Freedom Calling, is not only a journey of passionate worship but a prophetic declaration that will awaken a generation to the love of God and the cause of Christ in the earth. "I long to give the Body of Christ a language for reformation and revival through melodies that will be carried on for generations." - Jake Hamilton.

I saw Jake live before I bought this CD. There is nobody else like him. The kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent take it by force. Jake decrees the kingdom of God with an intensity and violence that has to scare the hell out of the devil. This sound is the mark of a new, intense generation of worshippers. You will find here the proclamations of an end-time army, ready to do serious battle as the heavenly King gets ready to judge the nations. You will hear decrees like "Someone in this generation is gonna make a noise that's gonna shake a nation," and "Worshipping warriors arise." This album calls the church to quit playing around and wake up to the nature of the days we live in. This is a desperate call to violently engage in the fight of faith or drowned in the lukewarm stew the American church franchise has cooked up for us. War drums, for example, is a passionate plea from Isaiah 6 to be sent to the battle. New Song calls forth a new sound in worship, calling forth worshipping warriors who will prepare the way of the Lord, and then demonstrates what that new song might sound like. Supernatural Revolution recalls the promise of Jesus that the works He did we will do also. The song prophesies a generation of dread champions who will be so full of the love of God they will raise the dead and bring about an end-time reformation. We need love, a violent love to see the fulfillment of this prophetic vision. All eleven songs are inspired, and reveal the heart of a man who lives in communion with his God.

If you are just a Sunday-go-to-meetin' kind of Christian, this CD will tweek your reality, or maybe even scare you. For the hungry child of God, you will find here the cry of your own desperate heart. Get this CD and Jake's first, Marked by Heaven. Then move on with the revolution that is about to shake the earth.

If you are looking for new and exciting music that is God inspired..this is the one for you. I was introduced to Jake Hamilton music about two years ago and God has anointed him for worship. I highly recommend this album and his first album..only if you are not stuck in the rut of what worship "should" be.

Fantastic album!
Such raw worship, it is such a powerful album and you can hear the passion from both Jake, the band and the auduience!
Jake has a good rock music style, soemthing that I haven't heard anywhere else in worship music, but this certainly doesn't take away from the worship and this album is 100% all about Jesus!
It is a must and a nice refreshing change from the 'safe' worship most albums give us!
