Cedarwood Festival is a new independent festival launching in the north of the UK in 2020. The new event is a gathering of all generations of the UK church, launching July 17th-19th at Moor House Farm, County Durham.

The weekend festival is backed by many of the major christian denominations, and will feature music, sports, bonfires, practical workshops, after hours activities for all ages, DJ and comedy, and a full children’s and youth programme. All people, all ages, all welcome.

Cedarwood Festival aims to unite communities in the north of England and foster strong relationships and networks between individuals and organisations alike. The festival will be a showcase of the many organisations in the north of England working hard to facilitate change across all areas of society.

Cedarwood Festival will also be a plastic free event, and suppliers have been hand selected in line with this vision for sustainability and environmental goals.

There is an exciting programme planned for Cedarwood Festival 2020 with great speakers, worship leaders and organisations including known both locally and nationally contributing. Roy Crowne (Hope Together), Philippa Hanna, Elijah Kirby (Northpoint Care), Simon Guillebaud (Great Lakes Outreach), Sheridan Voysey (Broadcaster), Debra Green (ROC UK), Burn 24/7, The Message Trust and Shane Taylor will feature, plus many more.

The lead sponsors for Cedarwood Festival 2020 will be Mission Aviation Fellowship, (MAF), with the visions and values well aligned with those of Cedarwood Festival.

MAF is the world’s largest humanitarian airline, bringing help, hope and healing to those in greatest need. The charity has tackled the problem of poverty in isolation for over 70 years, extending a lifeline to isolated communities in 27 countries across the developing world. This is largely due to the belief that nothing should stop people from receiving the love of God and the essentials of life. They operate in the most remote corners of the world; flying medical relief and life-transforming help to vulnerable people in hard-to-reach places such as Angola, Chad and Haiti.

The Festival has been endorsed by the many national leaders including Director of the Evangelical Alliance, Gavin Calver saying “This exciting new gathering has the potential to greatly equip Christians in the north and see many come to faith as well. I wish it all the very best.”
