Rend Collective Experiment Ready 'Organic Family Hymnal'

Nov 11 2009

Rend Collective Experiment, from Bangor in Northern Ireland, have confirmed the details of their new album 'Organic Family Hymnal' on Survivor Records, which will be released on 18th January 2010. The album will contain 13 songs, including a duet with David Crowder.

Rend Collective Experiment are not so much a band, more a bunch of 15 friends collectively wondering how to make sense of the conundrum of life, God and community. Their album was recorded earlier this year at Castlewellan Castle in Northern Ireland and has been mixed by Sam Gibson (Delirious?, Pearl Jam, Crowded House).

Describing the music, Survivor says, "Take the honesty of Elbow or The Flaming Lips, the surges of Sigur Ros, and the creative power of Sufjan Stevens and you have some idea of the landscape. With a couple of EPs already available, Rend Collective Experiment's growth is about to surge."
