South African Hip Hop Trio Church Boyy Bizness Release 'Crowns And Dreams'

Jul 18 2019

Christian hip hop trio Church Boyy Bizness, based in Durban South Africa have released their much anticipated debut album 'Crowns and Dreams' following their INGOMA nomination and Crown award winning mixtape released in 2017, and in 2018 having one of the most streamed music video in the urban Christian music circles in South Africa . The new album is culmination of over four years of hard work, prayer and passion to fulfill the vision of engaging the modern urban culture with hip hop music that carries a message of hope and at the same time it's of such high quality that it can match any other in the South African and African hip hop scene.

One of the standing out features of the album is its diversity; from the modern ‘new wave’ sound that the artists, all in their twenty’s, deliver with such energy and lyrical prowess to the thought provoking songs that reflect their experiences, struggles and victories in walking with Jesus and the lessons they have learnt over the years.

Another standing out feature of this project is that all the songs are divided into two categories; Crown songs and Dream songs hence the album title. The ‘Dream’ songs in the album are designed to inspire the listener not to be afraid to dream big but to challenge themselves to fulfill their destiny no matter the opposition or challenges of life and to draw hope and strength from God to stand and become what they were made to be. On the other hand the ‘Crown’ songs reveal who God is, his work in our lives and how relevant he is to all of us not just as people but as individuals. All this is wrapped up in skillful lyrical aerobics, high quality production and hooks that are sure to get any young person and anyone else singing along.
