Kat Gaffney Releases Debut EP 'Song in the Night'

May 03 2019

Coming off the heels of her debut single 'Overwhelmed', Independent Christian artist Kat Gaffney has just released her emotionally and spiritually charged debut EP, 'Song in the Night'.

A self-proclaimed "North Carolinian gone New Yorker", Gaffney currently fills the venues of New York with her thought-provoking outlook on life, emotionally charged ballads and deeply personal lyrics portraying bold Christian themes.

About the EP, Kat says, "The songs on my EP were all written during a time that I was in a deep spiritual valley. As a creative personality, I tend to feel things very deeply, acutely. One day in the spring of last year, I woke up just feeling so anxious and overwhelmed that I felt like I couldn't even face the day. I called my mom, crying to her and her response was, 'Don't go to work. You need to take a day to sing and to write and to connect with your soul.' That was the day that the title song on my EP, “Song in the Night” was written.”

Since then, Kat has found true joy and hope in spending time daily with the Lord. With her upcoming EP, her primary goal is to remind people that they can worship even in the darkest of nights. God’s love shines through the darkness and with Him we are truly never alone.

Drawing from a variety of genres from soft rock to pop to gospel, “Song in the Night” is a spiritual journey for the taking. Visit KatGaffney.com or Facebook.com/KatGaffneyMusic for the latest tour updates, music videos, and booking information.
